Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez is a Uruguyuan international striker, who joined Liverpool FC in the 2011 January transfer window for £23m.
The striker has a hard act to follow as he replaces the much-loved Fernando Torres as Liverpool’s main striker. However, based on initial sales of Luis Suarez football shirts, it seems the Kop have taken the striker to their hearts.
Suarez is also a key member of the Uruguay national team, playing a key role in helping his country reach the semi finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals. He missed the semi final however after being sent off for deliberate hand ball in the closing stages of the dramatic quarter final victory over Ghana.
Replica shirts of both Suarez’s home, away and 3rd Liverpool shirts as well as the home and away Uruguay jerseys are available to buy online. Collectors can also purchase shirts from his former club Ajax Amsterdam, adorned with his name and number 16.
