As part of the March Month of Madness, Monday night saw the biggestsports  press conference in Galveston history.

With a full house at the Holiday Inn Resort, Galveston, flashbulbs went crazy at the sight of the new Admiral supplied uniforms which will see the team into the up coming NPSL South Central Cup season as smartly dressed as any club in the state.

After weeks of preparation, coach Brendan Keyes took center stage of the showpiece unveiling and after explaining the complexities of the schedule and after hearing from numerous invited guests, the moment that everyone had been waiting for, the new shirt appearance, occurred amidst Ozzy Ozbourne music and a plethora of smoke!

With the Home jersey stirring echoes of the Pirate history of old, the yellow shirt reeked of class with a whiff of royalty.

The uniform chest mainly yellow with navy blue sleeves and short really pops when you see it. The Pirate logo sits squarely on the left of the chest, the Admiral logo on the right. The addition of the all important NPSL logo on the left arm adds a certain look of importance to the shirt and sets it a class above many of the Pirates rivals.

The away jersey is strikingly similar to the home shirt, only white in place of the yellow chest, cuffs and socks.

The highlight of the shirt appearance is obviously the shirt itself but added inclusion of the Pirate Girls being on show in slightly altered shirts, was a perfect foil for the night.

Coach Keyes said:”It couldn’t have gone any smoother. Dorian from Azteca 51 was great, the Holiday Inn guys were great and the shirts look superb. I wish we could do this every night!”

“The new uniforms lift us to another level of soccer, they really do and this proves our intent as we move forward to this summers NPSL season.”

After the press conference finished, all the guests moved into B.Jiggers for a night of merriment and also to reflect on the previous events.

“I am overjoyed at how the night panned out” said Keyes, “This proves how far we have came as a club and gives us a great platform to move forward as a club. With the guests we had here tonight, everyone will soon know that the Pirates are Galvestons ONLY Professional Sports Team.”

FC Edmonton play in the North American Soccer League which is deemed the second tier within the American Soccer pyramid.

This potential shirt for the new season which starts in April against NASL champions Minnesota Stars, sees the Canadian side move away from their tradition sky blue or white shirts they wore last season.

This black shirt with blue fabric panel across the v area of the neck may not have been officially unveiled yet, but was touted by the FC Edmonton website as being ‘found’ in the office.

The kit looks to be amongst the Adidas stable which is a change from last season Umbro outfits but other details of the shirt have remained unveiled as yet.

Chicago Fire have been quick to release their new 2012 shirt for the upcoming MLS season with a shirt that brings more blue into the equation than in previous versions.

The  shirt remains mostly red with a blue collar and blue panel across the chest.

The fire blue panel across the chest extends under the arms to allow  for the placement of the ClimaCool mesh,for ventilation and moisture reduction.

The shirt has also returned to a traditional collar for the first time since 1999 with a white insert inside the ‘v’ part of the collar inside the neck.

The 3 Adidas stripes continue in their normal placements along the shoulder and also has the Adidas logo placed upon the right hand side of the chest on the opposite side to the Chicago Fire badge which is to be heat sealed to the shirt this season to reduce weight and help with the wearers comfort thanks to no stitching seams on the inside of the jersey.

The star above the Fire badge signifies their 1998 MLS Cup Championship victory.

The Adidas authenticated holographic transfer will be placed at the right hem and Formotion insignia on the left hem.

Along the back collar, a ClimaCool mesh panel will also carry the 3 key tennants of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club: Tradition. Honor. Passion.  each to be separated by one of the six-pointed stars of the Flag of Chicago.

This season sponsor will be food giant Quaker Oats which will be placed squarely across the blue panel across the chest. The log will be printed in white to contrast against the Fire blue.

It’s the sight that most Arsenal supporters though they would never see again and also gives a whole new generation of fans currently growing up the opportunity to see one of their all time heroes just one more time before he disappears back across the pond, back to the MLS and perhaps never to return in the famous red and white.

Arsene Wenger welcomed back his old captain with open arms for this short term loan he currently finds himself on whilst the MLS takes its season break before the new one kicks off but few could have imagined the famous Frenchman returing to London to grace the side he proclaims to love.

The shirt he is wearing will bear the number 12 on the back, matching the number he wears whilst on international duty for France but goesagainst years of wearing the famous number 14 that adorned his shirts at every club he played for.

From Arsenal to Barcelona to New York Red Bulls, he has always been number 14 so this change will make the short

a collectors item that many fans will clamour to have printed upon their new look shirts.

Coventry City FC have taken the bold step of showcasing a potential strip for season 2012-13 already by giving us a glimpse of the past.

The retro style strip is being portrayed as a window into the past with the player changing room being the portal to viewing the strip in its entirity.

With each remaining home match for the Sky Blues, a further enhancement will be made to the changing room area with more props being added to further enhance the experience for fans as they look expectantly towards another new season and perhaps another new strip.

The strip will be a PUMA branded shirt, mainly white in colour with a sky blue sash across its body from shoulder to waist.

The badge will remain in its modern day chest placement of the left hand side with the club sponsor of Citylink being placed within the sky blue area of the sash.

One of the latest international football shirts to be unveiled is the new Scotland home football shirt 2011/13. This would have been the shirt that Scotland would have worn for Euro 2012, but they unfortunately missed out on qualification last night.

This is the second Adidas Scotland shirt since they started manufacturing them in 2010. It remains navy with white Adidas stripes on the sleeves. This time it has a white fold collar and white sleeve hems. The Adidas logo is on the right chest and Scotland have reverted back to the classic round badge that was previously worn.

One of the latest international football kits to be unveiled is the new Brazil 2012 Olympics home football kit. The current Brazil home shirt was slated by many fans when it was released and this was mostly down to the green horizontal bar that ran across the chest. It will be interesting to see how this new kit is received and it is manufactured by Nike again.

The Brazil Olympics home football kit for 2012 comes with a traditional yellow shirt that has a yellow v-neck collar with a green trim. The sleeve hems are also green, with the Nike logo on the right chest and the Brazil national crest on the left chest. The shorts are blue and they come in two versions. One has white designs down the sides with a white Nike tick and the other has yellow designs down the sides with a yellow Nike tick.

One of the latest 2011/12 football shirts to be unveiled for the new season is the new Trabzonspor 2011-12 home jersey. Trabzonspor are a Super Lig side from Turkey who were founded in 2nd August 1967. They are managed by Senol Gunes and they are competing in this year’s UEFA Champions League. They had a fantastic 1-0 victory at the San Siro against Inter Milan in the opening game of the group stage. This shirt will be manufactured by Nike.

The 2011-12 Trabzonspor home football shirt has vertical claret and light blue stripes and has a claret round collar. The Nike logo is on the right chest and the Trabzonspor club badge sits on the left chest. The Turk Telekom sponsor is on the middle of the shirt in white text.

One of the latest La Liga football shirts to be unveiled this season is the new Real Madrid 2011-12 Champions League third jersey. Real Madrid are one of the biggest club teams in world football and they are coached by Jose Mourinho. They will be hoping to compete well in the UEFA Champions League during the 2011/12 season.

The Real Madrid UCL 3rd football shirt for 2011/12 is manufactured by Adidas. It is mostly red, which is unusual for the club and is the first time they have worn this colour since the 1970s. It has the Champions League badges on the sleeves and has a round red collar. The Adidas logo is on the right chest and the Real Madrid club badge sits on the left chest.

The Euro’s aren’t too far away and one of the tournaments favourites, Germany, launches their new home strip in time for it!

The new shirt is cleaner in its lines due to the reduction in black trim and motifs from the previous season’s shirt. The badge is more focused and spherical, complimenting the overall look of the shirt with the 3 black stars acknowledging their World Cup wins.

Adidas’ traditional treatment of the German shirt, identifying the tri-colours, black, red and gold of the flag is subtle and does not overawe the shirt; breaking the shirt up evenly.

The shirt will be  available to buy in S, M, L, XL, XXL and and is sure to be one of Euro 2012’s most popular, especially with printing for the likes of Özil, Schweinsteiger and Müller.
